Guest guest
Thank you for that Vicky and I think I just worked out why I don't recall any warnings from my own D&C as I have had PID 6 times I doubt I even worried about it when/if they mentioned it.. At the time it seemed like it was something I just had to live with (pid that is) after I had Phoebe though I have not (touch wood) had a single incident of it.. Funny thing is that the first 3 times I had PID they insisted on doing a laparoscophy to check that it was PID (apparently when I have it it seems more like appendicitis for them) but the last 3 times I just went int said this is PID and they handed me the penicillin for it (having said that I have been in hospital 4 times with PID as I had a bad reaction once to the penicillin and it just got very bad... Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already. Guest guest
I just had the one incidence, but it went on for nearly 2 years in total before it was cleared up! It doesn't help that I'm allergic to penicillin and to one of the penicillin substitutes... trust me to be difficult! Bearing in mind that all this was just after DD1's first birthday when I was still very much the black sheep of my family, for having the temerity to produce a child out of wedlock, I went to my Mum's to recuperate and my Uncle - Mum's BIL - who's a GP, told her that it's a sexually transmitted disease and just another symptom of my fast and loose lifestyle and, instead of taking me in she should put me back in the gutter where I so obviously enjoyed being! Fortunately, Mum had done some reading and wasn't taken in! I saw that Uncle a couple of months ago. He now has cancer and is very ill. Apparently he was shocked that I was less than sympathetic! Families, eh? Tchah! Guest guest
Ruthie I had all 6 PID before I had the d&c so... Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already. Re: PID & D&C (was D & C and fertillity) Maybe I'm just lucky. never had PID and had at least four D&C's. Ruthie
