Guest guest
Katy, I'm saddened to hear your news of no improvement. I seem to remember that you've been fighting this beast for quite a while now and have been through the wringer with chemo, surgeries and pain (Oh my!!) It's a heck of a lot scarier than lions tigers and bears! I pray that you'll get into a trial that helps you out. A miracle is on the agenda here and it's your time for one. Good luck and God be with you. Cliff > Have been on Xeloda for the summer in the possibility it'd have an > effect on cancer that otherwise didn't pay attention (liver, lung, > bone). Guest guest
Yep, I'm here and still doing well. I should start my clinical trial on the 25th of this month. The schedule isn't much fun, but the possibility of some advance in cancer treatment is worth it. I live just north of Austin, TX and I'll have to drive to San (2 hours) on Sunday eve. Monday I go into the Cancer Treatment and Research Center which is affiliated with the University of Texas at San . I will get an infusion of the new drug CX-3453 and then have blood samples drawn every hour for fourteen (14!) hours. What fun! Then I come in each day for an infusion in the morning and have the rest of the day off. On Friday I have the 14-hour routine again; followed by 2 weeks off. If I understand the status, I will be the 2nd human to receive this drug (maybe the first if the other patient can't make it next week). I hope you can find a clinical trial in your area that offers some chance of attacking your cancer. I consider myself really lucky living within driving distance from the largest clinical trial center in the US. Keep fighting, it's worth it. -joe- > Have been on Xeloda for the summer in the possibility it'd have an > effect on cancer that otherwise didn't pay attention (liver, lung, > bone). Guest guest
Katy, Please keep up the fight. Perhaps another bend in the road and they will find something to shrink the cancer. Just keep looking at different treatments. Never know what will help. I am Praying for you!!!! Your husband is like mine. Uses the computer for games only. Perhaps you can choose someone from here to have a phone number. That way we can stay updated and keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I know I did this by staying in contact with Larry and Janet through the phone. Stay tough. God will see you through this.
