PinkI have restless limb syndrome and peripheral neuropathy. The feelingwith it is one that is difficult to describe but you feel like you mustmove your feet or legs or hands or whichever limb it is. Most just haveit in their legs. It can be sort of a tingling or prickly type feeling, but I wouldn't describe it like bug bites. Now, there's another diseasetoo and that it PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease). It is the most commonform of PVD (Peripheral Vascular Disease). Fortunately, the symptomsthey describe do not fit PAD.I had not thought of it for a while, but I was experiencing the feelingas if there were insects biting my legs at night about two years ago. Itwas intermittent but there was a period it was especially bad. Until nowI never associated it at all, but since I've been on oxygen for sleep donot recall experiencing it. I just thought it was related to a skinproblem or

something.>>> From: denise randel dnsrndl (AT) yahoo (DOT) com>> Subject: Weird symptom- Itchy feet> To: "Breath Support" <breathe-support@ yahoogroups. com>> Date: Tuesday, March 17, 2009, 7:55 PM>>>>>>>>>> Happy Saint 's Day to All!>> May the luck of the Irish be with you! now that you mention bacterial infection, there is also fungus or "athlete's foot"

i see that stuff advertised a lot

if it's not better in a few days, consult your doctor

KathyIf neosporin seems to sooth it then that might well indicate thepossibility of some form of bacterial infection. They are amazingly easyto get and can drive you crazy.>>> From: denise randel dnsrndl (AT) yahoo (DOT) com>> Subject: Weird symptom- Itchy feet> To: "Breath Support" <breathe-support@ yahoogroups. com>> Date: Tuesday,

It isn't a bacterial infection, there is no rash and no increase in symptoms, nor is it continous. I think the pain reliver in neosporin soothed the nerve, or maybe it just stopped on it own. Who knows, it really isn't aggravating enough to go to a Doctor, more an annoyance. It is just weird. Kathy Seweryn IPF 02/5/09

Hi Bruce,

Right now my prescription for oxygen is only for walking and exercise. I started using it at night because I was waking up with headaches and I thought I might need it. I have never done a sleep study or used an overnight oximeter. Awhile ago I stopped having headaches and was feeling better so I quit using it at night. I have felt fine except for the itchy feet, but I think was right and I probably picked up something at the hotel. 's vicks vabor rub did the trick ( at least it did last night and hopefully tonight is the same!) Take care-

even the doc prescribed the O2 for exertion, i gradually found the need to increase it on my own. When i did, i would inform the doc on my next visit and she would document it.

we know our bodies, if you think you need more o2, then ask your doc to increase the prescription
