You could increase the DMSA dose (by about 2/3) or keep it the same. If you are chelating with ALA/DMSA at the doses you give above (about 60 mg each) the DMSA will act as an accessory chelator and be there to pick up any mercury that the ALA drops, possibly making chelating more comfortable and reducing the chance of redistribution. Is my experience with > DMSA/ALA shared by others as well? Yes. I get quite a large reaction to low doses of DMSA, which I think means that I have a greater body burden of mercury than you, or that the damage mercury has done to my body over time is greater than it is for you. Guest guest Posted January 24, 2008 Report Share Posted January 24, 2008 Maybe decrease the ALA dose to about half rather than increasing the DMSA. Bascially, more sensible and safer to reduce the one that seems to be causing side-effects, rather than increase the one that isn't - you just might start getting side-effects from the DMSA as well.
