I use about 2 tablespoons. It doesn't really matter. Adding more

would give the next batch a better chance to get fermenting.

Important to stir well after adding the inoculum.

Elaine (Gotschall) did NOT approve of using yogurt from a previous

batch as a starter! To be SCD compliant you MUST use yogurt that is

either store bought with none of the SCD illegals in it or the

yogourmet starter powder EACH TIME you need to make yogurt.

An SCD follower for many years.

Thanks, the place I bought the yogurt maker from clarified that point for me

too. :)
