That is really a question that we should ask him. There was some talk

about chelating continuously some time back but I am not aware of Andy

posting about the topic himself.

With DMPS continuous chelation is easy because the 6-8 h dosing means

little sleep interuption (for people who feel better on DMPS compared

to off). I see it as being difficult to chelate for very many days

with ALA because of the difficulty waking at night for a long period

of time.

FWIW I just read in AI this weekend that he says not to continuously

chelate with ALA (with or without DMSA or DMPS) for longer than a few

days because it causes the liver to not excrete zinc and copper

properly..

Cutler says his recommendation against continuous chelation was based

on conservative assumptions, and subsequent experience has shown that

people who feel better on a round can chelate for long periods of

time. AND this applies ONLY to ALA.

I added that to the above wiki page just now.

If anybody wants access to the Onibasu wiki to edit or create any

page, feel free to ask me.
