There was some talk about chelating continuously some time back but I am not aware of Andy posting about the topic himself. With DMPS continuous chelation is easy because the 6-8 h dosing means little sleep interuption (for people who feel better on DMPS compared to off). I see it as being difficult to chelate for very many days with ALA because of the difficulty waking at night for a long period of time. > Thanks, > Dean > > >
Guest guest
FWIW I just read in AI this weekend that he says not to continuously chelate with ALA (with or without DMSA or DMPS) for longer than a few days because it causes the liver to not excrete zinc and copper properly.. ~robin

Guest guest
Cutler says his recommendation against continuous chelation was based on conservative assumptions, and subsequent experience has shown that people who feel better on a round can chelate for long periods of time. AND this applies ONLY to ALA. http://onibasu.com/wiki/Cutler_protocol#Length_of_rounds I added that to the above wiki page just now. If anybody wants access to the Onibasu wiki to edit or create any page, feel free to ask me. > > Andy says to take a break of at least as many days as the previous round. > Is that true also if you're doing ALA only?
