What actaully feels smooth and silky is the substance on you hair not the hair itself. Ultimately it will dry your hair out even more!! Guest guest
Your hair does from time to time like a change and this could be what your hair is showing with the sample.. as a rule I have heard a lot of complaints about organic's (never used it myself) but if you think that it works for your hair (sounds like it) then I would get a bottle. (I am pretty sure that Asda sells it ;o) ) I used to like Salon Selective before I got seduced by Mitchel products as my hair dresser used them and I found it easy to stick a bottle with me when having my hair done.. Having said that I have just changed hairdresser (LONG story do not ask) and the new one does not have the same shampoo.. No idea what I will do after perhaps have a look down my local sainsbury's lol I must admit that I do enjoy hair packs/mudpacks/protein packs for my hair I think because it makes me feel like I am REALLY pampering myself.. ;o) and I do see a difference after (doesn't last that long but it is nice while it does).. I had my hair cut off last weekend still not 100% sure of it but everyone else seems to like it.. It is about 2 from my shoulders now and the shortest I have had it for 16 year..... easy to keep though (always good) and for once my hair doesn't hand like a dead rat when I just leave it after shampooing.. so a great cut I will go back to hairdresser I just have to get used to this idea of having that little hair lol Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already. Shampoos Having run out of my Boots Botanics shampoo weeks and weeks ago and not really being bothered to make a special trip to Boots nor choose another one from the zillions at Asda, especially as I think that they are all probably the same; I thought I would plump for my DH's Timotei. However, the past weeks and weeks my hair has been horrid, dry and brittle and dull and yuk! So today I thought I'd see if I had any other sort lurking in the cupboard and found a sachet of Organics and used that. Now my hair is shiny and soft. Obviously there is a difference in product as I can't think of any other reason. I wonder if it will stem the loss of hair too as it has been falling out in the handfuls lately. Any " available in Asda " advice here, taking into account that I don't wear makeup and am not really bothered as to the " name " rather the performance IYKWIM )) Perhaps I should stick with Organics when all said and done. having a ramble as not the sort of thing DH is interested in listening to let alone stroking said silky hair. Guest guest
Hair falling out in handfuls - worth having a blood test for Thyroxin and TSH Levels - Thyroid stimulating hormone. I had lost more then half my hair before being diagnosed despite having my blood tested previously. Why not do an online search for underactive thyroid and see if you have any other symptoms? Even when I was diagnosed, it was a borderline case and yet a person with average hair thickness would have been bald - I have *extremely* thick hair. On the matter of shampoo, I have just purchased a copy of a new book called " Cleaning yourself to death " by Pat , Editor of the AIMS Journal. I haven't read it properly yet but suffice to say I will be binning my bubble baths! The section on shampoo is very informative (as is the book) and even with my, so far, glance at the book, I am looking at all sorts of products in a new light. (from one who knows, > frizzy head) I love Pantene - I've used it for years. My hair is v straight though and frizziness is something I've never encountered. I used to try desperately to use curlers etc but nothing would stay in form ore than a couple of minutes unless I used loads of styling products - and I *hate* the feeling of anything on my hair - just like it to feel silky and 'natural'. It soon shows if I've had a couple of bad nights sleep though. - Sue

Guest guest
OOh, I used to do their audit - was great - left armed with carrier bags full of goodies (all full size). Best bit, being the only girlie in a team of 3, was that the blokes used to carry their goodie bags to the car then let me keep it all. I got 6 carrier bags full on one trip - kept me and my mum/sister/cousin going for ages. The other similar perk audits I did was Brake Brothers (supplies frozen food to caterers) had to dash home in the car at the end of the job so the Death by Chocolate and the Lemons with sorbet in didn't melt. Then there was Chattem - boxes of Corn Silk foundation/powder and Mudd face masks. But don't mention the oil refinery, pig farm, geriatric wards I did, nor the desk in the gents toilets where I had to work for a week. LOL! I can see this turning into 'The worst job I've ever done' thread... Mine had to be as the only female packer at Booker's Frozen Foods in Wollaton, Nottingham as a student holiday job - standing in large freezer containers packing frozen food whilst being sworn at and have every possible dirty joke thrown at me for 8 hours. The only breaks were for 10 mins every hour spent in a smoke filled rest room filled with fag ends, filthy plates and cups and more of the same yucky men ((...I used to go home and cry all evening! Only perk was we could take home large carrier bags full of frozen food that had damaged packaging! Caroline 9PS - 2 months after i finished there it closed down and they were all made redundant - HA HA HA!
