Guest guest
I'm good to go! No more beta blockers for me! That grumpiness yesterday? PMS. Or a combination of withdrawals and PMS. I'm over it To those of you who are wondering why is this chick so excited about no more beta blockers... well, the thing is I think I was addicted to them and it's taken me a long time to get off of them, so it feels like quite an accomplishment. Plus, when I woke up today, my toes were NOT numb!!! So if that was indeed caused by the propranolol induced lupus, that seems to be going away already! Pam B. This old chick here is just as excited as you are! I'm so happy you are getting somewhere with this. It gives hope to all of us who are currently physically addicted to beta blockers. I'm eternally grateful to you for sharing the hawthorne info, and taking this big step. I've been on betas full time for 10 years now. I've had to deal with some of the side effects (low DHEA, low libido, sluggishness), but figured I'd probably be on them for the rest of my life. You've given me hope that even though I'm only on a low maintenance dose of inderal, there is a chance I can try the hawthorne berries and throw these pills in the trash. What concerned me was that I still couldn't decrease any lower than 30 mg a day (10 mg every 8 hours) of propranolol (inderal) even with LOW thyroid levels. Confusing and aggravating at the same time. I think you have every right to get just as excited as you please! We are all cheering you on! Love ya, Chris
Guest guest
Pam, Congrats and kudos to you Pam! I'm so happy for you! I never got into the beta blockers much, but just giving up coffee has been SO HARD for me! So I admire anyone who can give up an addiction! Good job, Kristi Re: Day 3 no beta blockers! > I'm good to go! No more beta blockers for me! That grumpiness yesterday? > PMS. Or a combination of withdrawals and PMS.
