Guest guest
Holly, You are correct. Bugleweed does the same thing as our ATDs. Is never a do it yourself project. This is a serious herb. Labs every four weeks are a must. I did use this as a substitute NOT an addition to my PTU. I saw the recipe for tea including Bugleweed. YIKES ! A teaspoon !!!! What is that stuff ??? All water ??? My prescription Bugleweed was three drops !!! Please...everyone be very careful. You are playing with fire. This herb is very different from others you may have used in the past. IT DOES WORK. And too much and you are in a coma ! NEVER do this without a doctor and labs ! -Pam L- 3 1/2 yr.Graves and TED, PTU, Remission due to education, SLOW reduction of PTU, improved lifestyle, excellent nutrition, herbs, and looking at the BIG picture ! Pills alone only fix symptoms. We must help our bodies to heal.
Guest guest
Holly... I just reread...this herb will lower your T4 and raise your TSH. In other words = make you hypo. -Pam L-
Guest guest
Ok. I was thinking that I'd heard here that although it WILL make you hypo, that the TSH will look suppressed on your labs like you're hyper. If it doesn't have any effect on your lab values--meaning they will still accurately reflect what is going on, then I'm not as concerned. I may end up not taking any until I'm about ready to go off the ATD. I don't know. I'll have the stuff if I need it, anyway. Thanks, Holly Re: bugleweed Holly...
