I'm taking a guess that you are really toxic and the dose was too

high for your body to handle?

Hi , I was having trouble with the DMSA too but just completed

a successful 4 day round by taking 12.5 mg at 3 hour intervals. I'm a

fast metabolizer and the more frequent treatment made all the

diference in the world.

BTW, I have a meditation clock that counts down and then does a chime

sound. You can set it to repeat so I set it for 3 hour intervals and

the system worked perfectly! After 3 hours it just does this chime

sound and then starts counting down again. Th sound is nice, didn't

bother me at all, but is loud enough to hear. It didn't interupt my

sleep as I'd just hear the nice chime in the middle of the night and

then gulp a pill. I went right back to sleep every time. No problem.

It was weird because, toward the end of the round, I was expecting

the chime right before it rang! I think my body clock had adjusted.

Anyway, it worked great, I feel good and, after a 10 day break to get

situated on this long trip with my parents, I plan to resume my

system.

I really think it was the too-long interlude with DMSA that was

hurting me. I highly recommend starting at a very small dose though.

Key move there.

Good luck!

Yup, me too. I could not handle the 4 hour interval. Once I reduced to

3 hours it became managable. At the same time as reducing the time I

also had to reduce the dose to 6mg DMSA as 12.5mg was too much, causing

too many symptoms.

For the record my Ca/P ratio is high (not low) I've had two hair tests

in the last 4-5 months first was 6.32 and the second later test was

5.24 (range 0.8 – 8)

-----------That's interesting, thanks for reporting that. I wondered if there

were variations in this. I know Andy has said that these *indications* on the

hair tests aren't *full proof*, they just suggest there could be a problem.

Like my blood sugar problems didn't show up in my hair. And supplementing

probably affects it also. But this is good to point out that these things

aren't *absolutes*.--------Jackie

Thanks every one for replying. Actually I am a bit scared of trying

DMSA again even though I have plenty. I am considering ALA alone for

a while.
