Hi ,

Sounds like your friend is on the ball. I agree with her.

It is best to wait till labs before EVER switching our dose about. This will

lead to confusion and more down time in the long run in 99.9% of the cases.

remember, hyper and hypo symptoms are very much alike. It is different for

everyone, and until you have several years into this, you can not judge

which they are for SURE. Even then, we still get confused at times and have

to run it by the group. = :-o

Hi ,

You sound hypothyroid, and hypoT raises diastolic blood pressure (the bottom

number). While 300 mg is the starting dose for PTU, most everyone can be

maintained on 100-150 mg of PTU. Take care, elaine
