Guest guest
I've been busy getting my mom and dad ready for their 2 month trip to Hawaii (I will accompany them as a nurse.) The house they've been staying at for years there (hence don't see its horrid demise) is moldy and infested. I will be staying in my tent out on the lawn going in mainly to cook. I searched the files and saw a bit about the metals in sunscreen but wonder if anyone knows of a " healthy " sunscreen product. I mainly want it for my face.. I was thinking of mixing zinc oxide into some face cream but wondered what you thought? Thanks. ~robin

Have you tried a HFS? Titanium dioxide is commonly used in them, and according to HTI, Andy says that this form is poorly absorbed. So might not be too big of a concern, for short term use, although you're talking 2 months, aren't you? Is coconut oil a natural sunscreen?---------Jackie Thanks. ~robin _._,_.___ Messages in this topic (1) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic Messages Change settings via the Web (Yahoo! Guest guest
From my reading on the subject, titanium dioxide is not too bad provided it is not the nano-particle type. One company that makes a product that has clearly stated it does not use the nano-particle titanium dioxide is Aubrey Organics. That's what we use on our kids when we feel we have to - we try to use nothing unless there's a probability of a sunburn. Guest guest
> Robin- Last year Environmental Working Group tested products and found that Badger brand sunscreen was the best. http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/special/sunscreens/summary.php Badger SPF 30http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/product.php?prod_id=92830&refurl=%2Fbrowse.p\ hp%3Fatatime%3D500%26sunscreens%3D1%26best%3D1%26> http://www.badgerbalm.com/p-372-spf-30-for-face-body.aspx -- Best Regards, Sofia Be more concerned with your character than your reputation.
