Guest guest
>>>Dr. Diasio talked about surgery causing cells to go back to exponential growth rates. So I asked him, does that mean that when someone becomes chemo resistent that doing surgery would make the chemo work again. He said yes and that there is research out there that has demonstrated this very thing. This is CRUCIAL folks. Anyone who is on chemo for long periods of time usually ends up chemo resistant. But in no case have I ever heard of the docs going back and doing more surgery. Yet clearly, according to Dr. Diasio, this should be done.>>> Priscilla, I have never heard anything about this before....can you tell me where to find out more? nancy j ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
I hadn't either and I scour the research constantly. But there is only so many avenues one can investigate. Dr. Diasio is at The Univ of Alabama at Birmingham. Here's the verbage from the slide he was talking off of that got me thinking and asking questions: " Based on cell kinetic principles - surgery shifts cells from " plateau phase " into " exponential phase " . " Would someone be willing to take on contacting him and asking if he could help you find the research on this? And then forward those references to me? Priscilla A.
