Hi Connie,

your results suggest that you're now hypothyroid. You don't want to be there.

besides the related symptoms, hypot can cause thyroid eye problems. You

probably want to get down to taking only 2.5 mg daily. With this low dose,

you can take it once each day. If your labs still show that you're hypo after

a few weeks, you'd want to reduce it to every other day. It'll be interesting

to see your TSI and find out if you're heading toward remission. Take care,

Elaine

Hi Connie,

Glad to see you back !

I can only comment on what worked best for ME. I would never stop my ATDs

for three days, as I would have gone hyper quickly. And lost the ground I

had gained. I know this because even when I was too hypo on my PTU, if I

missed a dose for very long, I could feel my body start speeding up, and not

in a good way.

Hummm...like trying to hold a big beach ball under water. It didn't matter

how deep in the water it was, I could not let it rise above the surface, and

had to keep my hand ( PTU )on it to maintain control. I could take less

PTU, but I could not take none.

As I got closer and closer to remission, I chose to use less PTU, and then

to maintain my every 8 hour control, I ended up using Bugleweed which works

the same, but is less potent, and I could count drops...then as that became

too strong, I used Lemon Balm.

This is what worked for me, as I stuck with every eight hour dosing, and

maintained control. This, I BELIEVE is the way I prevented the ups and downs

which cause the whole body to go into shock and rebound.

Earlier on, I DID go up and down due to believing my endo. And for ME no

good came of it.

-Pam L- Hope you are watching that iodine intake...it really does make a

difference.
