Guest guest
I was like some of you and did not realise I actually needed this bit of paper. I certainly did not when I got my iron tablet prescriptions throughout my first pregnancy. Also when my nanny took my then 5 month old DD1 to the chemist to collect a prescription for herself they automatically gave it to her for nothing, thinking she was DD1's mother. So it came as something of a shock to me when upon presenting a prescription for iron tablets at 8 months pregnant (and looking like a whale!) they refused to give them to me as I did not have a Certificate! I could not believe it, I was huge and the tablets I wanted were called " Pregaday " (ie, for pregnant women!!). I was a tad annoyed as I had waddled all the way down to the chemist specifically and told the boy behind the counter (who looked all of 12 years old!) that I could assure him I did not have a cushion up my jumper and could prove it if he did not believe me!! He was so freaked by that he gave me the tablets! ;0) Francesca
