Adrenal stress? I get this when my adrenal support is not high enough

or I forgot to take it. My adrenals are always worse on a round and

for a day or two after. But it feels tight in your breastbone area,

and you break out in sweat or get a hot flushed feeling sometimes.

Look into adrenal support...

The need to tighten muscles is sort of an uneasy why can't I stop

moving my muscles feeling? More magnesium can help that, calcium too.

Any other supplements? Check Andy's list for chelation, you should at

least take some C.

Your symptoms sound somewhat like those that led me to chelation in the

first place. I had a feeling like a steel belt around my chest; it was

impossible for me to take a deep breath. I also felt a discomfort at the

base of my throat, sort of just above my sternum, almost as if someone put

their thumbs there and was pressing. As you say, more of a discomfort,

pressure, tightness than anything very specific. Associated with that was

asthma (which I still have), not so bad that I need to take drugs for it,

but there nevertheless. It's gotten much better with chelation, but I still

have a ways to go.

It seems very probable to me that you just overdid it with chelation. It

seems that the way to undo the side effects of overdone/incorrectly done

chelation is proper and sensible chelation. You might try a round with 12.5

mg ala every 2.5 h or so and see if that helps.

Hello Everyone,

The last couple of weeks I've been experiencing a kind of tightness in

my chest around the heart/throat area. It's very non-specific, and I

would rather use the words " discomfort " , " pressure " or " tightness " than

" pain " . It comes and goes, but typically I have a few bouts of it in the

evening. It becomes especially noticeable when I go to bed. I feel a

very strong need to tighten/relax my muscles in my legs and arms,

perhaps to distract me from the discomfort in the chest. Usually I also

feel very warm when this happens, but not always.

Does anyone recognize these types of symptoms?

I've done 10 rounds of 1 week on, 1 week off of 100 mg ALA every

three/four hours about a year ago. Then about a month ago I started some

chelation again. I've now gone down to 50 mg of ALA every three/four

hours. Today I stopped my latest round of 50 mg ALA because the feeling

in my chest frightened me. Unfortunately, it does not promptly go away

just because I stop taking ALA. The first incident about a week ago came

the day after I finished a round of 100 mg ALA. I know these doses are

quite high, and I might go down every further in coming rounds (perhaps

12.5-25 mg).

I have been supplementing with 3-4 x 1 tbsp of flax oil every day since

about two weeks ago. I've also been taking magnesium. Yesterday I added

vitamin E and Q-10 in the hopes of relieving my chest symptoms. I've

also ordered arginine, but it has not arrived yet.

Any tips/comments on how to handle this are highly appreciated.

I have also had this recently. I have been aware of breathing,

especially out, and it has felt forced - almost 'air hunger'. I also

developed weird chest pains in the heart area, although my doctor said

it wasn't angina.

My adrenals have also been very stressed, so this could be a cause. I

have been supplementing heavily with Coenzyme Q10 and magnesium, and

the chest pains and breathing difficulties have all but gone after a

week.

Try adrenal support? Coenzyme 10?

Have you found any special set of supplements helping this condition?

Interesting. When you say " supplementing heaviliy " , how much do you

mean? 200 mg Q10? 1000 mg Mg?
