Guest guest
Hi folks. I'm in northern Delaware and go to Christiana Care Health System at Christiana Hospital. We've got a much needed Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic. My doc is Gerald O'Brien. He is great. He was transplant coordinator at Temple. I was going to both Christiana and Temple. Temple said Dr. O'Brien would be great. We have a few others in the Delaware area that I have yet to meet. I want to include their patients in my support group as well. I get calls from patients who also go to HUP, Temple and Jefferson. I believe we are fortunate in this area with so many good facilities. Have a blessed day! You all are in my prayers. I am 50 years old (soon to be 51) and was diagnosed with DIP in january of 2008. I am told I need a double lung transplant but to be listed I had to lose close to 90 pounds....i am happy to say that i have lost 65 as of now and quit smoking in the process. I visit my pulmonary doctor this month and will find out what she thinks about my progress. My transplant will be performed at the University of Wa. and i have met with the surgeon once. I am on oxygen 24/7 at 4 litre's. and take about 7 or 8 meds along with nebulizers and inhalers. I have sleeep apnea, depreession, anxiety and lack of energy in general. I used to work as a mental health case manager for an outreach agency but had to retire because of my disability. I miss the activity and people.Hoping to get some replies to this and do more posting as time goes by. One question I have is how do I see pictures or attachments that others send in their messages?
