Guest guest
Thanks ladies, Where would I be without all of you????? Definately in a psych ward thats for sure. I told mom if she didnt start drinking she would have to go to hospital for fluids , so she is drinking ice water now. Dad went and picked her up some Imodium Ad liquid form , And of all things mom wanted was chili dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not homemade but from a restaurant , the main chili dog restaurant here closed up last year , so I called Joe to figure out where a place was to get her some from ( the diarrhea be damed least she wants to eat right?) We have a new place that sells em not far from us , so dad went there and picked them up , did I mention dad has NEVER EVER gone to a restaurant by himself ? lol. So anyhow dad came back and mom isnt strong enough to go downstairs to eat , so instead we ate in her bedroom with her , ( hmmm how does one get mustard out of a bedspread? lol ) Mom ATE , albet just a few bites of dog, and a few fries , but at least its SOMETHING . So far it is staying with her and she is resting now. I have put a call into the oncologist and they are suppose to be calling us back I am much calmer now , I was on the verge earlier . Definitely force fluids, Deb...Mom might feel 100% better with IV fluids. Dehydration can be very, very serious... Stay in touch...what's going on now?? Guest guest
Glad things are going better for the moment. It helps to vent.. Well is good she ate something and is drinking fluids... If you can get some of that Emer Gen C powder and have her drink and small glass with powder dissolved with help keep electrolytes up and is milder flavored that gatorade... God Bless you for hanging in there and your mom. Is awful that she has to suffer so much. Hope the Imodium helped. Feed her whatever she is hungry for right now. Take care and God Bless Jolene
