Guest guest
Some of you may remember Monika who joined here in 2003 and whose husband Bert has been NED for about a year. Monika's Mom has been battling lung cancer at the same time. Monika just wrote to tell me her Mom is in her final stages with very labored breathing. She simply asks for our prayers. Narice Monika's e-mail _MooMaus@..._ (mailto:MooMaus@...)

Guest guest
It would help if people like Monike continued to post after eaching ned. It is only human nature that most of the people who post are the people having problems. Just hearing from those with problems sometimes makes it seem like no one wins when in reality the majority survive
Guest guest
Narice, Please tell Monika I think about her often. I even posted last week or so wondering how she and the family were doing but never got any reply. They're all in my prayers. flipper759@... wrote: Some of you may remember Monika who joined here in 2003 and whose husband Bert has been NED for about a year. Guest guest
The onc. said that I have good blood counts. I'm going to get a CT/PET scan. They now have the combo here. I don't know when the appointment is going to be but I'll let y'all know. Miracles happen! Cliff H. > > > It would help if people like Monike continued to post after > eaching > > ned. Guest guest
That is wonderful news!!! I wish they would have the combo ct/pet scan here. Sounds like it would be a lot less time consuming. How does it work? Ingrid > > > > It would help if people like Monike continued to post after > > eaching > > > ned. Guest guest
The place I'm going has a brief description of the tool. I'm sure there is a lot more out there. http://www.ausrad.com/PROG_ARA_PET%20CT.pdf Miracles happen! Guest guest
I am wondering what the prep is for the ct/pet scan combo and if they inject you with all of the stuff (radioactive sugar and dye)at the same time. Ingrid > > > > > > It would help if people like Monike continued to post after > > > > eaching > > > > > ned. Guest guest
I looked it up (google). They do the radioactive sugar injection, make you wait a while for uptake, then put you in the donut. The donut takes only about 20-30 minutes instead of 40-50. At the end they do the die injection (I HATE that part, makes me nauseous big time). I didn't see anything about drinking barium but I imagine that is done too. I just like that they do both at once. Also, I just got my CEA results, less than 0.5. Yippie! Miracles happen! Cliff H. > > > > > > > It would help if people like Monike continued to post > after > > > > > eaching > > > > > > ned. Guest guest
Cliff, I am very thrilled for you. The CEA numbers are grest!!! I guess we all will have to wait for you to do the ct/pet scan so you can tell us all the stuff they will do to you. It does sound better then having to do the two tests seprately. Sure wish they would get with the more modern stuff here.LOL Ingrid > > > > > > > > It would help if people like Monike continued to post > > after > > > > > > eaching > > > > > > > ned.
