Guest guest
Maybe it has something to do with your being a teacher, Angi - for me, there is always a day in September when I wake up and it's that bit colder and there's dew on the cobwebs, and I feel SICK because it means it's back to school. When my mum was alive, she'd always ring me that day and say " Thought it was a bit September today, how are you? " I don't think I'll ever shake it! Anneliese who hated school and is dreading dealing with the whole business again with Toddler Tim... Re: Weather Sue>I do love that time of year and I'm feeling quite romantic about it >all as we go through a very mild winter here must be being an Autumn baby! I love it too, and I love that fresh new back to school feeling! ( may be that's to do with spending 26 years of my life in the education system one way or another) in many ways Autumn is much more New Year for me than January is. Guest guest
I think home education would be even worse! There are two real reasons for my " issues " with school - no, three - laziness (who wants to go to school when they could stay at home?), non-sociableness (to a certain extent) which made me stressed and nervous of the situation at certain periods of my life, but most significantly the fact that I was badly taught in a badly managed school from 11 to 18. Can you remember how you felt about your childbirth experiences before you reached your current calmness? I suspect that it's very similar to how I feel about my grammar school days. I survived despite the teachers, but I still have deep and intense anger over the whole seven years, and it's nearly 20 years ago now. But I THINK that good teachers and good schools exist... somewhere... Anneliese and Toddler Tim who I'm sure will sail through the whole thing Re: Autumn > > > > Maybe it has something to do with your being a teacher, Angi - for > me, there > > is always a day in September when I wake up and it's that bit colder > and > > there's dew on the cobwebs, and I feel SICK because it means it's > back to > > school. Honestly we have 4 + 1 (on maternity leave due to come back on Monday) at our school and I can truthfully say they are all wonderful teachers. Bit far for you to commute to school. I loved my primary school but hated Grammar school. Trisha SAHM to 3 boys Jack 7, 6 and Isaac
