(snip)Congratulations Sue - used to live in Bathampton as well - lovely place.

Chris

I used to work at Freshford, and often drove in that way and over the toll

bridge. It was worth the 90mile commute in the opposite direction to everyone

else (and took less time than DH took to get to work 25 miles in the other

direction) just for the sheer beauty of the scenery on the way there.

My office, which was palatial, having been built for the company's previous

owner was apparently the biggest and best. It looked out over a field sometimes

of cows, (which was amusing when you were on the phone with the window open 'Is

that a cow I can hear...' ) with views to the hills beyond.

When I got fed up or stressed out I used to take a stroll down to the calm

warmth of the treehouse (I used to work for Rentokil Tropical Plants), and

meander amongst the banana plants and palm trees, and chat to our tame

plant expert who knew such amazing stuff about the plants, their habitats, and

how to look after them. I still have a banana plant I took home, it stays alive

but doesn't look healthy.
