Guest guest
To see the hopeful stories check the files section of the website under OUR STORIES There is a whole history for Monika's husband Bert, and even a little on her Mom who though very ill right now has been a 3 year lung cancer survivor which is amazing if you know anything about that disease. You will also find Jolene's story. Katy is not here all the time but she recently hit the 5 year mark and is still going strong. AS for Phil while I know his current state of affairs may look bad he had a 13 cm colon tumor in June 2003 that is G-O-N-E Gone without surgery! He has had 5FU Oxaliplatin Leucovorin and Avastin. Back that June they gave Phil a maximum of 6 months. We are now at 2 years or 27 months!!!! The liver tumors were much more numerous. We had hoped to be able to use a technique called radiofrequency ablation to rid them but it was not possible as the liver is literally full of these little buggers. But Phil WAS a good candidate for the Hepatic Artery pump which was inserted near the liver to pump FUDR directly to the liver. From the CT in June it does seem to be killing off those liver tumors. The downside has been that it may work a little too well and be killing some healthy tissue. But though troubling the little set backs are very treatable, just a damn nuisance. We've had 2 wonderful years the odds said we wouldn't have. Bottom line you just never ever know Miracles really do happen May they happen for you as you battle the beast Narice
