I think I must have some kind of bug - for the last 24 hours I have either

been frozen or boiling and aching. Last night I ended up in bed (to sleep

before gets any ideas!) at 8pm and was sick!

Today was my only opportunity to go and get the boys new trainers for their

holidays - the shop was packed and I am feeling really stressed and worn out!

Another early night I think, I do need to recover before next week and our

holiday.

Of course DH is also ill - same symptoms as me but with an eye infection but

of course he has a worse dose than me! typical man.

Can't remember where you are Trish but we've had some sort of bug

too - DD was very floppy on Thurs and felt v sick tho didn't vomit and

felt shaky for about an hour = later in the day I felt very shaky too

and wiped out, (might have been something to do with staying up to

2.30am to finish a quilt I was making for my mother's 70th bday)and

next day DS vomited all over the floor of the motel we were staying

in!! Then three times in the night although he did make it into the

margarine bucket, but I didn't get much sleep trying to work out when

the weird breathing noises were going to change into retching

noises -= off to bed now. I think there's no longer anything like the

old fahsioned common cold any more, just these weirdo viruses ...

optimistically as ever

There is a less-than-24-hour bug going around here lately.

Calvin (18 mo) had it about 10 days ago. He was a bit

grumpy all day and then we got rained on on the way home,

then he started crying and crying and then he was sick all

over me. He wanted to go to sleep right away, then woke up

about 6 times overnight to have a drink. He was grumpy the

next day, too, but just fine by afternoon.

I would have thought it was because he was overtired and

cold and wet, but a friend’s son was sick a few days before

that and someone else’s daughter was sick about a week

after. It wasn’t until we all discussed it that we realised

it was probably a bug and not three unrelated incidents.

Your Dh, though, needs to take a paracetamol and get on

with it!

I am in Yorkshire. Feeling a lot better but it too a good 24 hours.

DS1 has now come down with it and has had a day off school today,

maybe even another tomorrow, unless he pleads a bit too much to go

back! He loves school.

Thinking back DS3 was not too well last week and that only leaves DS2

to be ill and only 3 more days before we go away!
