Guest guest
What are your symptoms now? It surely can't hurt. Blame the paranoia on us old folks. By the way has anyone in your family ever had cancer or polyps? You couldn't wait that long as you'd be dehydrated While the cause may well be something minor, true diarrhea should not go unchecked more than 3-4 days NOT weeks!! In the meantime drink lots of water, Gatorade or powerade to keep hydrated. Narice

Guest guest
My grandmother had breast cancer ... that's it. Symptoms ... dirahea ... mucus in diareha ... I took pepto-bismol last night and I just had my first bowl movement a few mins ago. It was green and thin ... but curly. I feel like my doctor thinks I am losing it because I requested all these tests ... do I dare request another? --- flipper759@... wrote: > > > > What are your symptoms now? Guest guest
He said those were good ... the only thing he was a little worried about was my RBC count ... but I am taking Garlic pills now to thin my blood. I just called " Nurse Direct " it is a free service in the area where we can talk to a nurse for free. She said that if my diareha and such lasts longer than 3-4 weeks then go in and have a stool sample taken but she says that anxiety and my cold could be causing the problem. Guest guest
, When I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer one of the symptoms the doctors asked me about was pencil thin stools, which I didn't have. The only symptom I had was kind of a knot on my side that was a little sore, I thought I'd torn a muscle working in the yard. If you feel like you need the test, ask for the test. The doc may say no, but at least you know you've covered all your bases for yourself. Fietzer all_star_nate@...> wrote: My grandmother had breast cancer ... that's it. Guest guest
I agree, nobody is ever told to let it go on for weeks!! In addition to what Narice suggested to drink, you could try some Pedialyte or however it is spelled -- don't get dehydrated. flipper759@... wrote: > I just called " Nurse Direct " it is a free service in > the area where we can talk to a nurse for free. Guest guest
, I would request that colonoscopy. This then would tell you a lot of things. And if all is clear it would put your mind at ease. A colonoscopy is the only thing that can test you too make sure that you do not have any blochages or anything else.
