Guest guest
hey JK. are you chelating? what were your weird reactions? I have had epsom baths before and not this reaction...sometimes it exhausts me so i do not do it that often... I am wonderring if it (the epsom bath reaction) is due to liver sensitivity from overdoing the ALA and other chelators a few weeks ago Thanks michael -- In frequent-dose-chelation , " per h " wrote: > Better replace that cat with one that talks... > jk.. > > I also have had very weird reactions from one epsom bath in the > past. Guest guest
Mike - Epsom salts are sulfate. If you are high in sulfate, you don't want more. I don't know exactly what kind of symptoms sulfate might produce in a high-sulfate person, since I haven't experienced it, but given your reaction (and all those sound like mercury tox symptoms), it is possible that you are high in sulfate. Your description sounds like you may have been running on adrenaline for extended periods (common in adrenal fatigue when adrenals do not put out sufficient cortisol). I think the sudden lack of adrenaline can cause everything you described. Just a thought. Guest guest
Hi . I've done lots of epsom salt baths. Over time I made them stronger and stronger and hotter and hotter until I started getting what can only be called detox reactions in the following days. There seems to be a fine line between feeling fine and detoxing too much and feeling crappy. So now, I go easy of the Epsom salts. I used to use 2 large cups of Epsom salts, plus 1 cup of bicarb soda, plus 8 capfuls of 35pct H202. That was in a very hot bath for 25-30 mins, followed by a freezing cold shower. But because of the detox reaction I halved the doses….now I get no detox reactions afterwards. Now I use 1 cup Epsom salts, ½ cup bicarb soda and 4 capfuls of H202. Then it has to catch up on the processes that use these substances, which probably over a period of hours and days uses up extra energy making you more tired, uses up more of other nutrients leading to depletion of these, could temporarily increase toxic burden as the by-products of the catching-up processes get a little backed up, and I'm sure there are other reasons for side effects, too. I was just reading that magnesium improves immune function and helps fight infection, so that is another possible cause of symptoms. You might want to back off on the amount of salts you use next time and see if that helps. Epsom salt baths were really hard on me at first - and I was so used to having weird effects from stuff that I put up with it for awhile. But after a few too many bad reactions (weak, nauseous, red-faced, heart pounding, trembly, nearly passed out a few times), I stopped, then re-started with just a sprinkle of salts and worked up from there. I was much more comfortable that way. I also found it was important to do them regularly, if I skipped for a while, the symptoms came back. I really can't see any mechanism by which epsom salt baths can cause redistribution. Sometimes restoring our body does cause symptoms as we replenish, adjust, and catch up on the jobs our body needs to do. The way to minimize discomfort is to reduce doses of supplements and other treatments until they are better tolerated. Just like chelators you increase the dose slowly. -- > Thanks > >

Guest guest
thats a lot of h2o2, I usually add 2-3 cups of 35%,food grade only. I talked once to a herbalist that stated that Dr used to recommend epson salts and an herb(cant recall) to detox lead. I dont know more but I think it was too much h202, it def will clean you out. GOod luck. Guest guest
Hi Dave, yeah, I know epsom salt baths don't detox the mercury. I guess I must be low sulphate then because I always feel fantastic after an Epsom salt baths (unless I make them too strong.) Really opens up my skin, allows me to sweat which I always benefit from. I add other stuff too. 1 pint of apple cider vinegar is just incredible for skin issues. If this stuff was not so inexpensive…..many more people would know about these things. Re H202…just to make clear…that's capfuls…not cupfuls? The little cap on the H202 bottle, 4 cApfuls in the bath. If I used cupfuls I think I would dissolve…LOL Sunshine;-) > > Sunshine. > > The epsom salts don't help you detox.
