Guest guest
Hi Everyone: Just checking in to tell you what a week this has been. It is another exciting fire season here in Calabasas, California. Most of my friends have been evacuated from their homes. The fire here is huge and ashes are falling everywhere. So far, we have not had to evacuate but the fire is literally burning in Calabasas, in 2 other housing communities here in Calabasas (this is a very small community). Today, I was leaving my house to attend a mindfulness class at the Wellness Community (a cancer help center) and my next door neighbor's house had smoke coming out of the garage. Needless to say, I was late. Three huge fire trucks and six sheriff's cars blocked our cul-de-sac street. After all this, we think the fire was unrelated to the wildfire and just happened on its own. At the class, I met 2 other people with colon cancer: one is stage 4 like me and has had it reoccur 3 times in three and one-half years; the other is stage 3 and is under control. Hope you are all well and safe.
