-------That recommendation is usually made for kids who can't/won't

swallow pills. I believe most adults fill empty capsules and take it

i have to take my DMSA tommorrow during class and then a conference

(autism I Exist campaign launch in the UK). I will have to make it up

before i go but im not sure if i should just put 4 doses in a drink

and take 1/4 each time?

I have to split my caps in 1/2 as well which is why im considering

making 4 doses at once. Will DMSA keep for 12 hours in liquid? If so

then which drinks can i use?

TK--- leave it in the capsule

TK--- I suggest again not doing this - swallow the capsules made up

with any liquid you want.

Hello

Ok i wont put it in liquid. i will take the caps with me. Im due a

dose at 3pm and was wondering how early i can take this dose? Im in a

conference at 3pm so its not practical for me to take DMSA (since i

will be splitting the tablet and putting the other 1/2 in a box for

later) at that time. However they do finish lunch at 3pm.

Why not just split it before your conference and have the capsule in

you pocket ready to swallow?

Empty gel capsules are cheap. 100 for about 3 bucks. Make up a bunch of

capsules ahead of time for work and travel situations..?

TK - have people had trouble with this? I'm asking because this is the

way I take DMSA, mixed in orange juice to divide the dose, and I haven't

had any problems (and I'm _very_ sensitive to variations in dose). I

fill a 2oz tincture bottle with juice, drop in the cap, cover and shake

well. I've put a piece of tape on the side of the bottle to measure it

off in thirds, so I can drink 1/3 and leave the rest for the following

doses.
