Guest guest
I've never had more than one at a time and I find that Bonjela or Rinstead works well. But if I had 10, I think I'd see the doctor about it. J. Mouth Ulcers Anyone out there got a good cure for mouth ulcers? I seem to have about 10 at the moment (maybe something to do with being run down?) They start at the back of the mouth where jaw joints is, then all along lower gum and also inside cheek - only on one side. 2 small ones on tip of tongue. Very, very sore. Help?! When we were stuck in a caravan miles from civilisation we always put salt on them. Lick your finger pour the salt on and stick it on the mouth ulcer. It stings like anything but usually cured it. Otherwise Bonjella but I think that tends to numb it rather than cure it. Trisha

Guest guest
Best thing to alleviate mouth ulcers is something called Adcortyl in Orabase. It's a paste which covers the ulcer and lasts longer than anything else like Bonjela. I think its got a mild steroid in it. Can by over the counter at a chemists. Guest guest
Beverley, try Difflam Spray - I thinks its prescription only but its an antibacterial thing and it's most beneficial side effect is local numbness - ie spray, then eat without pain. Tastes disgusting, but used in conjunction with the adcortyl that Lesley recommended ( also disgusting imnsho) and things should get a bit better - at least on the mouth front. Curran Mum to 4 boys.
