Guest guest
Beverly If she is up for the idea then I would go for it and just keep praising her and telling her what a clever girls she is.. she might not connect the 2 but you could always have one hidden someplace as a just in case for when you are in hospital. But she might not need it at all.. Phoebe is still very attached to her mia ;o) (her dummy lol) and we have started talking about how when father Christmas arrives how he can arrive with a special mia present in return for her mia's ;o).. (only problem is as baby is due then she will be needing 3 presents within perhaps a day or so lol.. and then her birthday in February lol).. there is a little princess book all called I want my dummy perhaps that will be of help? Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.
Guest guest
My 7 yo DD was v attached to her " dody " when she was a toddler - but my friend's DD of same age carefully explained the benefits of thumbsucking one day - ie never gets lost, fantastic and varying taste (!!) - and that was it for her. Anyone got any tips on stopping a 7yo sucking her thumb? ( ;-) )... - joking, she only sucks in private now ! HTH - not sure how you can engineer a peer recommendation, but v. effective if you can!
