Guest guest
Sher Just curious with all you've been given over time for pain, have you ever been given Neurontin (Gabapentin) or Lyrica? Neurontin is such an old proven med with virtually no side effects, while Lyrica is newer. Just would be interesting to see. > > ... Guest guest
Sher No, they are not NSAID's. They were initially developed as seizure medications but they are broadly used for seizures, various forms of neuralgia, neuropathy, restless limbs and for fibromyalgia. They are neurological medications so aren't pain relievers in a direct sense but are in terms of relieving the sensation in your brain. > > > > ... Guest guest
Sher I forgot about the Cymbalta which is prescribed for Fibromyalgia and works for many. It is also targetting the pain receptors rather than the pain. So, the fact it helps is because of the neurological nature of the condition. > > > > > > ... Guest guest
Did I see Gabapentin? I take 2 pills in the AM and 2 pills in the PM. It kicked the daylights out of my neuropathy. It is good stuff. I haven't noticed any side-affects Bruce. Just one of the things in the chemical-soup my body has become. S, Lubbock, TX NSIP w/PF 12/2006 et al > > > > ... Guest guest
What size pills do you take? Total quantity per day. > > > > > > ... Guest guest
Sher Sometimes the proof is in the results, but many people are finding Cymbalta effective for fibromyalgia and other forms of pain. Note that the FDA has approved it specifically for fibromyalgia so clinical trials have proved effectiveness. > > > > > > > > ...
