Do others get redistribution 2 days later, rather than next > day? Absolutely. My redistribution effects seem to hit on day 2+ after stopping chelation. I just started doing the " DMSA mop-up " approach, using DMSA only on the last day of a round. I'm also upping my antioxidants (C, E) during and post-round in hopes of reducing redistribution effects. I'm tracking my symptoms pretty diligently, and it seems like I get hit the hardest two days after stopping a round, same as you. Nausea and digestional irregularities (which I usually don't have) are the biggest clues that it's Hg redistribution, along with a flare-up in chronic symptoms. I recall others on this forum have reported lags of up to 5 days before being hit with redistribution effects. > 2) I was considering a few things....longer rounds (I feel good on > rounds) Perhaps 3 days ALA/DMSA and then 3 days DMSA. (Perhaps this could be included in the progress files.) Your experience points to the value in detailed tracking of symptoms. I'm hoping to see similar trends on my Excel spreadsheet in the coming months! Thanks for your post. Darren

TK--- sometimes > > 2) I was considering a few things....longer rounds (I feel good on > rounds) Perhaps 3 days ALA/DMSA and then 3 days DMSA. TK--- this would be something logical to try to reduce redistribution. You can also try reducing doseage [you don't say how much you are using], using only dmsa etc... My questions- > anyone done this before? TK--- yes And will my redistribution be worse the > longer the round? TK--- longer rounds if done correctly cause less redistribution of Hg, what happens individually can be different ie you may have less symptoms or the same, [probably] not worse. What are other's experience. > > PS I have been tracking symptoms for 2 years and recently analyzed > changes from Sept 2007 (no chelation), at finish of round 8 and > finish at round 15. Guest guest
Are you using adrenal support for the anxiety/nausea/motion problems? It may help this. At least it did for us. It can reduce your symptoms during redistribution if your adrenals are supported. I do the dmsa/ala and then the last day of dmsa only to mop up. This has helped me do better with redistribution. > > Hi > > i have done 15 rounds. Do others get redistribution 2 days later, rather than next > day? This has been variable for me. I'm not sure it has ever been 2 full days, but at times it has taken more than 24 hours. > 2) I was considering a few things....longer rounds (I feel good on > rounds) Perhaps 3 days ALA/DMSA and then 3 days DMSA. My questions- > anyone done this before? And will my redistribution be worse the > longer the round? What are other's experience. I have felt at times that I get less redistribution with longer rounds, but I'm sure this is very individual and can even vary in the same individual over time. I would increase round length by one day at a time when you feel ready to try it. > PS I have been tracking symptoms for 2 years and recently analyzed > changes from Sept 2007 (no chelation), at finish of round 8 and > finish at round 15. Still can't drive. When I stop > I feel like I am moving backwards. Can't tell what is moving - me or > the other cars I had some swaying issues for a long time. I don't get it much anymore (knock wood). When it comes back, DMPS/ALA does not help and possibly makes it worse - 1 round of DMSA/ALA clears it up for a good couple of months at a time. I'm about due to feel it again if it is going to come back...some day I'm hoping it will not come back at all. -- > Colette >

Can't do licorice or stuff with fast phase 1. The worst time is really redistribution - maybe more ACE on that day will help. It is a thought. This does not seem to happen during the three days so far .. I am now taking 12 mg DMSA.. I was taking this for a few rounds and had problems with increase in depression but no problems with kidneys... Yesterday on the second day of a round my alarm did not go off , so I had to quit the round. MY kidneys are bad today, with aching ,. This will lead to a bladder infection if I do not catch it with herbs etc.. I was surprised that my kidneys did get worse on the two days rather than the three days....It makes me wonder how did ANdrew Cutler come up with the three day round?? I was just rereading Page 239 of HTI and noticed that Andy says, " Expected side effects (of chelation) are an increase in symptoms or appearance of new symptoms during the chelation cycle and for up to one day afterwards. People are often tired and perhaps cranky or depressed the day after chelation. PROLONGED EXACERBATION OF SYMPTOMS OR APPEARANCE OF NEW SYMPTOMS INDICATE SOMETHING IS WRONG... " As discussed, it seems like many of us experience redistribution effects that last beyond the next day. Does that mean 'something is wrong'? Or has Andy since amended this thinking in any of his posts? If something is indeed 'wrong' with prolonged redistribution effects, does this mean that (a) the chelator dosage is too high, ( more antioxidants are needed, or © something else? Usually chelator dose is too high, antioxidants (and minerals) do help with side effects, and there are lots that fit in the something else category (all described in " Amalgam Illness " ) J > Thanks, > Darren >
