Guest guest
Yes it means either or both. Usually they go together anyway. If your conjugation is low..your glutathione is too I believe. I don't think I have yet to hear report of an Hg toxic person with high glutathione. Part of Phase 2 liver metabolism is glutathione conjugation which removed hydrocarbons from the body and heavy metals. It also reflects the amount of gluathione available in cells as an antioxidant. If glutathione conjugation is slow it will slow the liver's excretion of heavy metals..this is corrected with NAC. Basically, low conjugation..you can't dump metals. Impaired sulphation: what this means is that you don't process sulphates well. What is a good idea is milk thistle four times a day to help the liver work. We have seen an improvement in my son's liver sulphation just doing that. We know he has a sulphation problem because he does well on Feingold diet (page 110 on Phase 2 Metabolism). He reacts badly to sulphates like food coloring, preservatives, apples, grapes. Over the past 20 months of being on milk thistle..he is able to tolerate small food infractions with less reaction that he used to have. This indicates his liver is handling sulphation better than it did before Milk thistle. Are you sensitive to medications or chemicals..finding yourself reacting to far lower doses than other people, or being offended by odors others aren't. Get headaches from smells? Things like that indicate slow Phase 2. Which goes with glutathione conjugation problems, and sulphation. They are all intertwined I guess it the easiest way to say it. Basically, you need NAC, milk thistle and the things you mentioned can only help. You can also take mag sulfate, to help (page 111 top) Not sure if this helps any... > > When I read at the bottom left of page 111, > > " Those who have low glutathione or glutathione conjugation on the liver > detox test are likely to benefit from NAC... " > > does he mean low glutathione stores and low glutathione conjugation? > > And to follow in that same segment, if, as I mentioned, I have impaired > sufation pathways which I think (?) means impaired sulfation, does that > mean I have low or high sulfate, (I think it's low???) or are these > concepts unrelated? > > Maybe taurine and molybbdenum would help me? > > (My science was physics not chemistry..) > > ~robin >
Guest guest
Hi Jada, Thanks for your explanation here.. And " YES " to all yo ask. It looks like I'd better try out Feingold... And Epsom Salt baths are GOOD right? And other sulfates like glucosamine sulphate etc... btw, does it matter if sulfate is spelled sulphate or is that a different chemical? (sorry math, physics person here.. :-) ) ~robin > We have seen an improvement in my son's liver sulphation just > doing that.
