Guest guest
Doug, Yes I have experience some of the things you are having except watery eyes. Due to the Andy book water eyes are a sign of mercury toxins. I also have thyroid problems which I am on Armour thyroid at this time which seems to be helping but I think I need to up my dosage. I take melatonin 3 mg sublingual at night to sleep which Andy Cutlers book says to use for sleepness nights. This seems to be helping !!!!! I am going on Round 3 also and I am upping my dosage of DMSA to 25mg. I have noticed a crackling sound in my brain while chelating and headaches as well. I tend to get candida YEAST while chelating though. I think you are doing well with it and stick to it. Just make sure you go slow....and add ALA.... on maybe round 6 if you tolerate chelating as well. I have to wait 3 months before I can start using ALA because I just got my fillings out 2 weeks ago. GReat Chelating DMPS Chelation Side effects? Here's a couple things I've noticed, I am nearing end of second round 12.5 mg DMPS every 8 hours. Seven days on seven days off. Between rounds I had a trace mineral and vitamin IV. I waited four years from end of amalgam removal to begin. Watery eyes? I get this slow persistent leakage. Always dabbing at the corner of my eyes. Maybe unrelated? Some sleep disruptions. Maybe thyroid related because I seem to wake up hot more often. Some of my joints seemed more inflamed during chelation. Same areas where I have had severe inflammation during the acute phase of amalgam illness before and just after amalagam revisions (hips, shoulders, cervical spine) Skin eruptions, minor, hot spots and itchiness usually on upper body, neck and face. Otherwise I am tolerating it well and psychological symptoms are muted or non-existent while chelating. Anyone experience any of the above? Thinking of going to 25 mg next round. Guest guest
> > Doug, > I have noticed a crackling sound in my brain while chelating and headaches as well. , I have a hard time imagining a crackling sound. But I have been living with severe tinnitus aka ringing in the ears. This seems somewhat lower in amplitude while chelating. No headaches thus far. I am going to do go to 25 mg next round to see if I tolerate the higher dose, then the following round I am going to " embed " a provocation dose (250 mg spaced over four doses/24 hours) and urine sample for toxic metals analysis in the middle of a 7 day round This seems the safest way to minimize side effect of a provocative urine test. Could this sound be more like ears popping, or pressure being released from a clogged head. I have some sounds like that, which I'm pretty sure are associated with clogged ear tubes and the rest of my head being stuffed up. It could be interpreted as a cracking sound? The headaches are pretty normal. I would imagine a lot of people here have them, either from ALA chelation or other detox symptoms.

Guest guest
-Headaches we see if the dose it too high. At least as far as oral ALA goes... We counter it with high doses of C. Crackling...definitely inner ears. It is fluid.. I have this off and on even if I don't have a cold or seem congested. Do you hear it when you swallow? If so, definitely ear fluid. Make sure yeast is not causing ear congestion. Otherwise, allergies, or food intolerance or just having a cold/sinus thing going on can cause this. -- > > > > > > > > I have noticed a > > crackling sound in my brain while chelating and > > headaches as well. > >

I told that DMPS affected my eyes, that it felt different from DMSA, and she told me it pulls from different areas? I wish I remembered her exact words. Anyway, she wasn't surprised. Kind of annoying though, isn't it?--------Jackie > > Some sleep disruptions. And Andy generally recommends only a 50% increase in chelator dosage, so 25 might be too big of a jump. DeanSA said his rule was 3 rounds of no symptoms, before he would do an increase. And TK has always said, the biggest mistake he seen people make was trying to go too fast. So if you're functional at 12.5mg but still getting some symptoms, you may want to stay put for awhile.-------Jackie > > Doug >
