Guest guest
Caro You really need to stay flat tomorrow. Going to work and being up and active just prolongs the pain. The instructions they gave are the way through this. > > Hi all, > > I took your advice Bruce and called the pain clinic today. I started vomiting today on top of the headache and the back pain is excruciating. I was in tears when I called the office. The doc had gone home sick today and the nurse practitioner called me and told me to lie flat on my back the rest of the day, and go into a dark room, increase caffeine intake (Mountain Dew) and push clear liquids. I am just now getting off work and I talked to them 2 hours ago, so I am going to take a shower and go to bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Hey, good thing is I have lost 5 pounds this week!! I didn't want to lose it like this, though. I was 158 in February, which was a 30 pound exactly weight gain since I started the prednisone a year ago. Today, I was 142, so that is a pretty big drop!! I am SOOO close to being back in the 130s again!! Will be glad when I get through this recoup time, so I can start back walking again. I really miss it. > > Guess the bed is calling me. UUGGHHH!! Flat on my back for the rest of the night. This sucks!! > > Hope you all have a great night!! > > Caro >

Guest guest
Thanks Mama Sher. I can actually walk a little better today but am still getting stabbing numbing pains in my lower back. I was actually able to eat today, so that was a good thing. I have still had the headache off and on but not nearly as severe as it was. I am hoping this is a good sign that things are finally getting back to normal (whatever that is for me!!). At least it is tolerable and that is a huge improvement. Thank you so much for asking about me. How are you? Guest guest
Unfortunately I had to work today so have been sitting up most of the day. If I stand or lie flat I don't have any pain, but the minute I sit down, it is awful. I guess I am going back to lie down again tonight. Thanks Bruce for all the good advice. I really appreciate ya!! Guest guest
Caro ... you have certainly been bearing a heavy cross, hon. Sorry I have remiss in posting, but I wanted you to know I will be thinking and praying for you. I'm happy to read at least things are subsiding a bit. Take care, dear Donna > > Thanks Mama Sher.
