Guest guest
sorry to hear about your daughter's marriage problems i don't know what PPD is just remember, divorce is not the "end of the world", it's just the end of the world as you know it, things change, as long as everyone is healthy, that is more important besides, if i could survive separation and divorce, anybody can -- i was a mess, worse than when getting this diagnosis it took several years for me to adjust, but i did come out stronger my parents and my in-laws remained friends until all of them died i continued to be friends with my in-laws too even stayed at their house after the divorce counseling is very important for getting through this event, whatever the outcome my ex always insisted on focusing on the children, they were 9 and 11 at the time we had all of the special events together -- bat mitzvahs, sweet sixteens, graduations, weddings, grandchildren, etc Bruce even invited my brother and his family to his second wedding [at the time that did upset me] i was more upset at that time because he found someone, and i didn't be supportive of everyone involved -- i know that may be difficult even more difficult is not interferring, it's between the two of them, so just be there for them i think it is sad when one partner needs to find someone else in order to leave the marriage it is so much better to separate because something is missing from the relationship without involving a third party it sounds like he has been unhappy for a long time counseling and support groups will be helpful for all parties involved things will work out Pink Joyce IPF 3/06 Pennsylvania Donate Life Listed 1/09 inactive 4/09 www.transplantfund.org--- Subject: Selling houses and family newsTo: Breathe-support (AT) YahooDate: Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 11:34 PM Hello to all those trying to sell a house like we are. Our other house has been on the market for 16 months!!!!!Yes...I said 16 months!!!I just heard of a novel way to get it sold...it's a religious thing. One of the ladies in my garden club said that she heard that if you take a St. ph's statue and bury it in the ground UPSIDE DOWNhidden from view on your property...your house will sell quickly. Now.. my being Jewish is making the getting such a statue an interesting adventure! It sounds sort of silly...but at this point I'd dance on my lawn in a stupid costume if it would sell the place!!!That's my chuckle for tonight. It's been raining and just plain miserable for that past 3 days and the rest of the week doesn't look much better.Last week we were having a 90+ degree heatwave and now 50's and rain!!!!!Now for not great news...my daughter and s-i-l may be headed for divorce!!!!He has cheated on her several times and she found out on Sunday!! She's devastated, angry, and really a total mess. Especially since she had the PPD after Sara was born she's really torn apart! He's moved out today for a while back to his folks and hopefully he'll agree to counseling. Guest guest
Joyce, Thanks for your reply..sage advice! PPD is post partum depression which is what happened to after Sara was born. All the hormones she had been injecting herself with to get and keep the IVF pregnancy basically crashed after the baby was born...it took months of medication and therapy for our Andi to come back. She's already been to the therapist and is back on meds and has made a tentative couples appointment . They both love each other..he made several really stupid mistakes that may not be fixable! Guest guest
I'm just glad she has such strong support from family. I think the fixable or not is to be determined. It's not unlike many in mistakes made along the way but love still there. Then the questions become twofold. Do both parties want to fix it at this point? Is it possible to fix it? You can't undo what has happened, unfortunately. I hope regardless they are able to come to terms with the fact they do love each other and their child, whether or not they can remain married. I wish my marriage hadn't ended in divorce but I am happy to say that we've been able to maintain our love for each other and move on. Not married, but closest any two family members could be. > > > > From: Zion ljz741@... > > Subject: Selling houses and family news > > To: Breathe-support@... > > Date: Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 11:34 PM > > > > *Hello to all those trying to sell a house like we are*. Guest guest
Sher We're best as we are. As you said if it works, don't fix it. Even if we were considering there are many factors based on my health and life expectancy that would say no. But we are very good as we are. Got a lot more stuff unpacked today. Down to small stacks in a few rooms. My bedroom is sort of a mess because I considered it last on the list. Housekeeper and I did a lot today plus she cleaned the most used spaces. > > > > > > From: Zion ljz741@ > > > Subject: Selling houses and family news > > > To: Breathe-support@ > > > Date: Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 11:34 PM > > > > > > *Hello to all those trying to sell a house like we are*.
