Guest guest
I don't know if I'll be believed by saying this. Every message which I've rejected has been returned to the original owner with the reason why it's been rejected. The only things I can think of why your messages did not show up on the discussion board are that you addressed your message to the rosacea-board owner (sometimes or I post these misaddressed messages to the board itself; sometimes I don't have the time to repost them to the board) or it was as a response to a previous message and you sent it to the original poster and not the board. The original poster may not have known that you wanted the message to be posted to the board or may not have the time to do that. About the absence of pending messages and old messages at the board over the weekend, I saw that because I don't use my email account to read and approve the messages. I go straight to the board website. You may not have seen that to be the case if you don't go to the board website to read messages and use your email box to read the messages. I imagine that our yahoo groups group site had a general failure and I wasn't the only one who could not read the messages here. Lastly, about favoring certain posters or messages over others, I approve all messages which meet the criteria of the rules. If you want to resend the two messages which got lost, please do so. I feel bad when messages go missing and never make it to the board. Guest guest
Mworo, sounds like you misunderstood what I said about lack of treatment and debilitating rosacea. I assume you're referring to this quote (I am speaking to Jen): " ...It's not the same situation here since even untreated, rosaceans should not worry that they are likely to ever experience what unfortunately you and others do. Untreated rosacea may result in continued flushing, inflammation and edema, with progression to telangectasias and phymas and eye damage over the years and decades -- not the kind of flushing and facial pain you describe. So I don't agree in this context it was " important to acknowlege the significance of flushing in rosacea progression and vascular disease, " at least the extreme description you gave. " Here I said, and meant to say, just the opposite -- that debilitating rosacea is independent of treatment. It shouldn't be news to anyone that rosacea is a progressive disorder if left untreated, but the progression results in telangiectasia and phymas and eye damage, in continued flushing inflammation and edema -- *not* in a significantly increased severity of flushing and/or facial pain, such as Jen described. So when you say: > ...and her implication that lack of treatment is the cause of > debilitating rosacea. To say that people with severe, debilitating > pain (myself included) got that way though lack of proper care or > faulty diet (as another poster said) is absurd and insulting. ....I assume you misread, to accuse me of that implication. I don't know what other poster you're linking me with in the second sentence, but that's not an accurate restatement of my words either. > I had the same experience as english vet...But I have one question: > If it was a computer glitch, did other messages also disappear or > only those critical of what Marjorie said? Mworo, englishvet said his lost post was supportive of me. That should have answered your " one question. " (Matija, I also lost two posts this weekend -- and neither were about me. ) Marjorie Marjorie Lazoff, MD > Date: Tue, 14 May 2002 00:27:26 -0000 > From: " ruizdelvizo " > Subject: Re: To The Moderator > I had the same experience as english vet. Guest guest
For some reason I have not received any messages the last few weeks. I was ill and not paying attention too much, but I am now in California for the summer and would like to take part in the group. I can not express how very much help you people have been. So many of you--Bruce, Beth, etc. -- have answered questions I didn't know I had. Sher, Joyce and many others have helped my spirits. International news is more meaningful when Geeta and others comment on their perspective. In short I miss the messages. Fay Metcalf--usually from Mesa AZ and now happily breathing easier in wonderful Captola Ca.
