Guest guest
I admit it, I overdid it this weekend. It was just a little bit too much and I'm so tired I can't even see straight. I saw my primary yesterday and she was appalled when I described my weekend. She sent me home to rest and not much else. Everything is fine though my reflux is acting up and I'm running a very very low grade fever. (under 100). I talked to my primary again just now, she says the fatigue and a little dehydration are probably the culprit so I'll push fluids tonight and check in with her again tomorrow. Next time I plan a trip, I will plan it with some actual downtime. As much fun as it was it was just a bit too much. Guest guest
MB You know what....I'm sure your primary had some concern about you overdoing it but I bet deep in her heart and the minute you left, she was filled with admiration of how you keep going. Most of the time you plan trips better, but it just wasn't something you could do this time. Next time, you will. I've made some crazy ones, but some of those have been the best. I remember the day I drove nearly 5 hours to Houston for a two hour support group meeting and then drove the same back home. But it was worth it. Next time I'd go the day before, but I couldn't that time. And, the nearly 5 hour drive to and from Snyder for a 5 hour festival fundraiser. I wouldn't trade that experience for anything. Now, I do prefer the more leisurely 17 days I took for the NC trip. > > I admit it, I overdid it this weekend. It was just a little bit too much and I'm so tired I can't even see straight. Guest guest
Why am I NOT surprised by this tale Ms MB....I trust you're being a good patient & following Dr's Orders...I also trust you've got a few special yummies to assist with your fatigue! You are SO right about planning in 'Down Time' .....within the trip itself, while at your destination, on the home journey AND in the weewk following the return home. Gone are the days when we can bundle it all together & still expect to be 'functional' Love, in Oz>> I admit it, I overdid it this weekend.
