Guest guest
Hi Nan...one thing we learn here on the board is to always take a 'list' of questions you want to ask a doc. Getting and using a cpap is a fairly easy process...I've had mine for about 4 years. One thing, in hindsight I wish I would have done, is ask the tech who explains how to use the cpap mask, to put it together for me. Right then and there. I had an awful time figuring/remembering what he said to get the darn thing together...it came in pieces. Sometimes the cpap/mask arrive by mail & sometimes the one he is demonstrating will go home with you. I use the blue gel mask that covers the nose only but there is a 'full face mask' as well. Your decision as to what is most comfortable and tolerable and necessary per doc. It takes awhile to get adjusted to the mask and the 'sound' of air from the cpap. Although the new ones are very different from mine I think so my info. may not apply but at least it's some input for you. Good luck! MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there!
