Hi Jane, Oct 16th is what we are talking about for my birthday. I too think the leaves should be changing about then but who knows with the crazy weather these days. I am just waiting to see what everybody else wants to do.  I just know that we need talk time.  Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida,  IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."  Hi to everyone!  I just wanted to jump and say hello and to tell everyone that I am finally getting better.  I have been strugling with bronchitis at least six weeks.  I read that Barbara & have also been under the weather, too along with Z. and Peggy.  Any body else?  I sure hope not.  , I can certainly understand why you get sick when you come to Georgia. The pollen here is so bad and it has been the worse ever this year.  Sorry you got a whiff of it.  I also now remember that Caro is sick from a weekend with the grandkids, who were sick.  That is hard I know.  You want to see them, but who knows what germs they carry.  Washing hands, etc.  doesn't always seem to get it.  Peggy, are you talking about the weekend of October 16th or September 16th?  Chattanooga would be great,  The place we stayed is still there.  We could also mingle at Rock City.  Forget Ruby Falls--that is too much exertion.  I would probably have to climb those steps again.  Of course, the most important activity that we will be involved in is talking and sitting and eating and talking, etc.  Alos taking pictures.  I would be more than happy to contact them again in Chattanooga.  Other attractions there are:  the Tennessee Aquarium.Toodles!Jane UIP/IPF 12/1998 Dalton, Georgia aka pianolady_musicgirl> > >> > > ,> > > Just wanted to say hi and ask how you are doing. be great, The place we stayed is still there. We could also mingle at Rock City. Forget Ruby Falls--that is too much exertion. I would probably have to climb those steps again. Jane, You know you have done WAAAAYYY to much. Our bodies just can not go at a fast pace or for a long time... we need to go slow and easy and REST..  Let us know how your appointment goes. Love ya. Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida,  IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."  Beth,OH I know how you feel!  I, too, have pushed myself too far and overextended the limits on my current breathing abilities and then I am out of commission for a day or two hopefully not much more than that.  I had an appointment with the PCP yesteday for my annual checkup at 10:15 am in Chattanooga.  I had to drive up I-75 to the appointment an hour in advance.  On the way I drove thru two bank drive-thrus to make deposits.  After I got up there and waited and waited and waited ( Did I say I had fasted and had not taken any morning meds?) I finally saw the doctor and by 11: 15 am I was finished.  BUT I had to go up the elevator to the next floor to the lab for my bloodwork.  Then he wanted me to to up to another floor to have a bone density scan.  I checked out after tseeing the doctor, making more appointments, I was sent up to the next floor to the lab.  I urgently had to pee so I was allowed to come right on in and give the urine sample.  I went back to wait for the bloodsuckers to come and get me.  And I waited and waited and waited......now it was nearly 12:00 and I was hungry and my feet could hardly move at all because I had not taken my gabapentin.  After the bloodsucker lady got finished with me ( on one stick) she said I needed to give a urine sample.  I then remembered I had left it in the bathroom and NOT brought it out to the basket sitting beside the door.  The lady went in and got it.  I then went back down the the  checkout on the second floor and told them I wanted to have the scan another day that I was too tired and groupchy and felt crappy.  (Yes, i did say those words)  I know this little girl did not understand but I had to drive 30 minutes back home on the interstate to get home.  I was so glad to get home!  And was I tired!   I didn't mention  that the doctor gave me augmentin to take for the sinus infection that I have ( 875 mg. twice a day) and I told him that I did not have bronchitis and he laughed and said:  Not yet but you will have it.  I am going to prive him WRONG!  and I have been going to counseling which has been such a relief for us and I did not want to miss it yestereday afternoon.  I did forget that my great-nephew Connor's choir was performing at church at 6:30 last night ( A children's musical about Jonah and it was so cute.)  I nearly forgot about it when reminded me as we drove to my piano studio to teach one piano lesson..I know this time of the year is hectic.  I did not go to the Tuesday night basketball banquet.  I have to go to a funeral this afternoon for a dear famiy friend.  NOw my sister is coming over because her husband is having car trouble and we are going tot the funeral together.  No I am not hurrying anymore.  I primise.  It  LIfe is just so busy and I don't want to miss anything.Toodles!Jane UIP/IPF 12/1998 Dalton, Georgia aka pianolady_musicgirlP.S. Tomorrow I am going to Atlanta by myself for my 3 appt. at Emory one of which is to see the pulmodude.>> I admit it, I overdid it this weekend. It was just a little bit too much and I'm so tired I can't even see straight.  I saw my primary yesterday and she was appalled when I described my weekend. She sent me home to rest and not much else. Everything is fine though my reflux is acting up and I'm running a very very low grade fever. (under 100).  I talked to my primary again just now, she says the fatigue and a little dehydration are probably the culprit so I'll push fluids tonight and check in with her again tomorrow.> Next time I plan a trip, I will plan it with some actual downtime. Do space yourself! You already know we have to take care in what we do. Even tho' we don't want to miss things we also don't want to end up DOWN and miss more!
