Guest guest
Charley There are no conclusions to my knowledge at this point and the studies are geared to a very narrow section of primarily COPD patients, and that is those showing an Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. If you have such a deficiency, then I might encourage you to visit http://www.alpha1.org/ Alpha-1 antitrypsin is a genetic disorder that can cause liver and lung damage. > > Do you have any followup information about the study you printed below. (Alpha-1 antitrypsin, derived from Vitamin A) It as been over the 18 months the study was supposed to take as stated in the article. I am very interested in what the study found, and would appreciate being informed of the conclusions. > > Sincerely, > > Charley Verba > charley_verba@... > > > > > > > > > > > Drug That Can Make Damaged Lungs Regrow > Daily Mail > 04-26-06 > SCIENTISTS have discovered a drug that makes damaged lungs regrow - raising hopes of a cure for the crippling disease emphysema. > > > > > > > . >
Guest guest
Thanks Bruce. I was just about to post something similar. I did check back and the one mention of this study on this board was by Joyce Dalton back in 2007. The original article does mention that there may someday be applications for other chronic lung diseases but unfortunately that time is not here yet.
