There are no conclusions to my knowledge at this point and the studies

are geared to a very narrow section of primarily COPD patients, and that

is those showing an Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. If you have such a

deficiency, then I might encourage you to visit http://www.alpha1.org/

Alpha-1 antitrypsin is a genetic disorder that can cause liver and lung

damage.

Thanks Bruce. I was just about to post something similar. I did check back and the one mention of this study on this board was by Joyce Dalton back in 2007. The original article does mention that there may someday be applications for other chronic lung diseases but unfortunately that time is not here yet.
