Guest guest
Hughena, If your O2 level went to such a low level...why in the world did they even let you leave? Anything less than 90 can injure your entire body!! I realize that you are in Canada and the system is different...but you need O2 regardless of where you live! Don't wait to see a Dr...contact them NOW...tell them what happened and have them fax you a script for O2. You also need your own oximeter to monitor your own Sat levels doing regular things daily. Then you can tell the Docs what is going on. I don't remember the website with the $65.00(US) Oximeter but someone here will know. Good luck and rest... My next appointment with him is June 12th. The tests were done at a hospital near where I live but I have to go to Halifax, about an hour away to see the Dr. Was really hoping that 78 was good but will ask him about O2 when I see him. It will mean I will have to stop work which I am not ready to do emotionally. This thing doesn't seem so real if life goes on as usual. Guest guest
Hughena, For your own health and safety I am begging you to please call your doctor. The dr. probably won't actually look at that report until the day before or of your appontment on the 12th. There are about 2 weeks before your appoinment and each of those days can be a chance for you to have your optimum health with a nasty disease OR for your body to be further damaged from lack of oxygen by this nasty disease. I understand this is all new and scary for you. I'm sure you're probably overwhelmed with the diagnosis and all the new information you are learning. Most importantly for you is to use your new knowledge to your benefit and take charge. Best Wishes, 33 FL IPF dx 1/06 > > I didn't see the Doctor. My next appointment with him is June 12th. Guest guest
Hughena, Probably depends on your job, work conditions. I'm an accountant and sit at my computer most of the day so I got my pulmodudette to write a script for a 2nd concentrator at work. I just use the portables to get from home to work and back. Its wonderful. Dyane Phoenix IPF 02 > > I didn't see the Doctor. My next appointment with him is June 12th.
