Guest guest
Hey Everyone, I asked this question privately...one responded, the other didn't...so I thought I'd ask this publicly for any input. I had a reaction to DMSA last October/November--feeling more depressed than usual, gut was inflamed after round, and more redistribution than usual. I thought it might have been a fluke, or perhaps the dosage was too high, or that I had gone off my organic food/distilled water diet, so I tried it again with my last round. I took 6 mg of DMSA along with12.5 mg ALA. On the second day, I felt really depressed--the kind where you don't have a bright spot all day. I stopped the DMSA, but continued the ALA for another day. The day after I stopped the round, I was incredibly pale. White as a sheet, they say. This is the first time something like that has happened. I do suffer from anemia. Also, I have the crown in that I suspect has amalgam underneath it. I know per Andy's guidelines that I shouldn't be chelating, but if I don't chelate, the glands in my neck become more swollen to the point of being rock hard. The only thing that relieves it is chelating. Any ideas? Thanks, Robyn

Also, just so I'm clear, you have done rounds with just ALA alone, and they were fine?------Jackie The day after I stopped the round, I was incredibly pale. White as a sheet, they say. Mine was *extremely* low a couple of years ago. Andy says you're better off on the lower side of normal, but mine was *way* lower than that. So in my case, some supplementation was fine. Otherwise, Andy says taking lots of antioxidants, like Vit C, can help to raise this, because the low iron is caused by too much oxidative stress, probably from the mercury. Just to be clear, I took lots of antioxidants too, and a low dose, very absorbable form of iron, called IronSorb by Jarrow. No huge doses of iron that a regular doctor might prescribe.-------Jackie Also, I have the crown in that I suspect has amalgam underneath it. I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear, but from all the reports we hear here and from Andy, it is not a good idea to chelate with amalgam still under a crown. Many will tell you absolutely not. You may very well be moving more mercury into your brain by doing this, and you will continue to get worse. I'm sorry, but I think the only real solution is to have that crown checked.-----Jackie The only thing that relieves it is chelating. Any ideas?
