Guest guest
Jada poor you!! My husband has this, and I have seen at first hand what misery it can bring. He first developed it about 15 years ago, after he had a tooth first root canalled - exposure to mercury then, and then removed. We are not sure whether the pain he had initially was the TGN, or whether it developed after the root canal, extraction. He has had a vascular decompression surgery to separate the nerve from an overlying blood vessel, and this kept him pain free for a year, then it came back when he was stressed with work. He now gets attacks about once a year when stressed. He semi-controls an attack with Neurontin and Kepra, but these do not eliminate all the pain. An attack can last a couple of months. He has been scanned for MS, as it can be an initial sign, but it was negative. He has a mouthful of amalgams, and is hypothyroid, as we have just discovered. For me, he has many signs of toxicity, but I need to convince him a little more to get his amalgams removed. As with most illnesses, I believe it is a combination of genetics and toxins. Why this has occurred in you after amalgam removal and during chelation is a mystery, and suggests it might be coincidental to mercury toxicity, or that the nerve damage was there anyway, and it is flaring up now. Have you been very stressed lately? I would keep chelating in any case! Sorry I don't have any better answers for you. I just thought you'd like to hear about my husband's experience.
