HI Robin, Most of the really toxic people I know are underweight or thin. It seems that without a lot of fat to store mercury it moves around and causes more problems. Also, adrenal issufficieny tends to make people unable to gain weight. Is that conjecture or are most poeple on this list underweight or overweight? We don't seem to have many people mentioned being overweight? Thanks, DeanSA
Guest guest
I had huge weight losses immediately following exposures from filing removals. Each time I lost 15 pounds or so and developed severe gallstones. My normal weight was 160-165 before I got sick. I am now about 60% recovered from my second severe sickness, and weigh 170 pounds. My weight fluctuates dramatically, and I have been as heavy as 180. Some people who have lost weight rapidly have said that it made them sicker. Burning fat probably mobilizes mercury, whether you do it through exercise, ketonia, of whatever... --- DeanNetwork dean@...> wrote: > > > I lost 20 lbs in one month when I got out of the > hospital the first > > time; wouldn't some of the mercury " disappear " > along with the body fat? > > Maybe it all moved into the brain? > > HI Robin, > > Most of the really toxic people I know are > underweight or thin. > It seems that without a lot of fat to store mercury > it moves around and > causes more problems. > Also, adrenal issufficieny tends to make people > unable to gain weight. > Is that conjecture or are most poeple on this list > underweight or > overweight? > We don't seem to have many people mentioned being > overweight? > Thanks, > DeanSA > > >

Guest guest
Dean, for me overweight is the problem, been steadily gaining the last 20 yrs no matter what I do. That was about the time those terrible metal crowns went on, I was loaded with mercury for 20 yrs before that but never had an overeight problem, so I do not think mercury alone made me gain weight. I don't know if it has anything to do with my adrenals which you pointed out probably have serious problems. I think you are correct about that tho. Hi Ingrid, Weight gain can be typical for people who don't tolerate the T4 in Armour/T4 meds but need ST3. So yes, I would hope you can try that. > True, adrenal inssufficiancy typically causes weight loss, but I > personally know of one other gal who had high blood sugar and was > very overweight until she finally got diagnosed with s and > treated for it. Go figure....although not typical by a long shot, she > says there are others that way. True, one has to be careful not to generalise. The pancreas and associated endocrine issues with it like insulin resistance play a bit part. Has anyone read/understood the connection of 'leptin' and diabetes? Mercola talks a lot about this, though I must admit I don't yet understand it. Leptin is supposed to tell the body to store fat. Although I'm still slim, I believe I am at a healthy weight now. Before that I was always trying to put on weight to no avail and have always eaten like a pig lol. I did not eat any more than usual after giving up smoking. I can feel that my adrenals have healed a lot over the last few months so the weight gain has coincided with that. For a while I was easily startled by loud noises and that has gone. My mood is also a lot more stable and I am not so easily irritated like i was a few months ago. Thankfully my depression has also cleared. These are signs to me that adrenals have healed somewhat. For the record I still have 8 amalgams and I have not taken anything specifically for adrenals but i have been on a very strict candida diet, have had acupuncture for thyroid/ depression, avoided all stimulants including caffeine, sugar, have been going to bed early like a good girl. . . and a few other things. This is just one of the health improvements I have noticed lately.
