Guest guest
I think the whole list is sighing. S I G H............. KARIMA Breathing a sigh of relief They gave Phil Ativan (anti- nausea anxiety med) and Oxicodene and thankfully he feels much better, The doctor is going to cut the Erbitux in half but give him a couple of weeks off first. Dr. Rothman looked at him and said " I know you are worried but it WILL get better " That man is a saint! I bet you can hear that sigh of relief all the way to your house!!! Guest guest
Narice, Isn't it refreshing to find a doctor who treats not only the patient but the family and caregivers as well. I'm glad Phil is feeling better. flipper759@... wrote: They gave Phil Ativan (anti- nausea anxiety med) and Oxicodene and thankfully he feels much better, The doctor is going to cut the Erbitux in half but give him a couple of weeks off first. Guest guest
Narice: This is such good news. I take Ativan to counteract the effects of the steroids they give me as pre-meds before Oxaliplatin. I fall asleep and that is a good thing. Sounds like Phil can use a break. A lot of this is tweaking the dosage to get it right so that the patient can tolerate these drugs. My oncologist first cut my chemo by 20% and when I was still too sick to go on, he cut the 5FU bolus. Now, I can function while on chemo (even though it is still bad). I know that they will get it right for Phil. And what encouraging news from Dr. Rothman. Just keep repeating those words: It will get better. in California They gave Phil Ativan (anti- nausea anxiety med) and Oxicodene and thankfully he feels much better, The doctor is going to cut the Erbitux in half but give him a couple of weeks off first.
