Mine are small and few but I intend to ask tomorrow when I go to the oncologist for my 5th round of chemo. in California ... would you let us know what your Onc. says?? Glenn's are small, too and mostly on his left arm...it does look like some kind of disease when they are broken open and then scabbed. Darn I wish I could think of the name they called it. Glenn's platelets were not that low when he was in hosp. 3 wks. ago. But he's had this for months and it appears to be getting worse, even tho he's not had chemo for months...not better. Probably something different than you and MA are talking about. Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
Guest guest
I have six little round bruises on both of my legs. They have been there for over a year. My oncologist says that six months after chemo they would fade away. They look horrible but they do not hurt. Between that and my port, I hope those sorry reminders will forever be just a distant memory. Guest guest
I got a copy of my husband's bloodwork at every visit. The platelets, red, and white were done on the spot and the tech even gave the report to me before the Dr. saw them. The liver function tests were sent off, so I got a copy of them the next time we were in the office. I did not know any better at the time, but I have copies of everything since the surgery. I did not know to ask for copies of reports when the surgery was done. I thought about trying to go back to the hospital and get the surgical notes and other reports but I haven't tried.
