Guest guest
Hi Jack, Yep, I am working my way through the alphabet with diseases! Now if I can think of one with an X or Z I would almost be there. But, I am truly blessed in this life. I have a husband who loves me, cooks, cleans, does laundry, shopping, everything. I have 3 adult daughters and 2 sons. Together they have 6 kids and one on the way. A boy at last! We have a wonderful church body and I am involved in many bible studies with women who all suffer from some kind of handicap. We may be very poor when it comes to the green paper but in all the ways that matter we are very rich indeed. And as in any situation, many hands make the work light and I have many caring hands to hold mine. BUT best of all I know that someday I am going to have a new body (Angelina Jolis' I hope) and all the pain, sickness, stress and fatigue will be over. Come quickly Lord Jesus! My illness' have allowed me to witness to many people and hopefully show them that it is possible to get through anything with God's help. Don't get me wrong, there are days when I don't get out of bed and feel exceptionally sorry for myself but they are few and far between. Luckily there are many people who call and don't hesitate to put their foot in my backside to get me back on track. God bless you as well. Sunny IPF, 09, Idaho From: Jack Marshall Sent: Sunday, March 29, 2009 2:30 PM To: Breathe-Support Subject: Re: first visit to pulmo guy (Newby) OMG, Sunny. I had no idea you had so many diseases, and yet I've not heard you complain much, if at all. You are surely brave to carry such a heavy burden. God bless you. When they first said Lupus 4 years ago I knew I was in a pickel. Then they said Sjogrens and diabetes and I realized I was in a Jar of Pickels. Then came arthritis and loss of bone density and too many tests and meds to list. I knew I had fallen in to the pickel barrel. After 4 gastric bleeding ulcers, Barrett's Disease, neck fusion and now IPF I realize I am and will always be in a pickel but hopefully I will be a sweet gerkin til the end. I keep complaining to anyone who will listen (until their ears bleed) that they have scooped out all my parts inside that I can live without but I didn't drop one pound. Surely all that stuff must weigh something. But thanks to the IPF I have started dropping weight like crazy. I have been on Prednisone for years and that makes it hard to get or keep off weight so I guess there is a "sunny" side to having IPF. Sorry so Punny today but it's March 29th (supposedly Spring) and the Idaho panhandle looks like the north pole. I am determined to keep my spirits from sagging (unlike other parts of me). Guest guest
Sunny Well, you may well have Xerostomia as many here do. There are so many forms of Zoonoses that is always possible too if you're in contact with animals a lot.
