Guest guest
Thank you, , for the word of caution on taking an herbal tincture along with Tapazole. If the lab tests come back showing that the thyroid hormones have been reduce by the tincture, along, then I will continue on with it. If I decide to turn to traditional medicine for relief from the symptoms, I will stop taking the tincture, just to be on the safe side. Guest guest
Thanks for the info, . I ordered my bugleweed from herb-pharm last week. I'm still on 5 mg. MMI, so now I'm worried about taking it. I thought I could take it and it would lower my antibodies. I'm thinking I shouldn't take it now, until I'm ready to ween off the MMI... Holly ALT MED- Hi , I wanted to add a word of caution about taking an herbal tincture along with tappazol. I started taking a bugleweed/motherwort tincture while also on PTU. I didn't mention it to my endo, knowing full well she'd tell me not to. In about ten days, however, I started getting a worsening of my hyper symptoms. I looked into the herbal tincture further, and found out that it came with a brochure (which wasn't passed on to me where I bought it) stating that It was not compatible with standard anti-thyroid drugs. I don't have more info than that (this brand came from Herb Pharm) but it was enough to make me stop taking it while on an ATD. Hopefully your naturopath will be informed about this. Good luck,
