,

My son and I will be attending the Sweetwater rattlesnake round-up. Ah, the scent of rattlesnakes wafting on the air, just doesn't get any better anywhere. Hardy har har.

It is always a good show. For those who've never been. Well the Sweetwater rattlesnake round-up is the largest in the world. On top of the handling of rattlesnakes, milking of rattlesnakes, skinning of rattlesnakes and ultimately eating of rattlesnakes. There are many vendors there to take your hard earned dollars hostage. Pretty good gun show as well. It's is pretty much a redneck gathering. So therefore, many rednecks from up and down the social scale attend the event. I'll try and get you folks as picture of the Miss Sweetwater Rattlesnake Round-Up beauty queen.

Here he goes again telling you you are off base. DAMN IT, THEY WERE YOUR FEELINGS! It has taken a lot of communication to try to help everyone see where the other is coming from...understanding is the desired outcome, not blame and accusations.

Margaret... I feel badly when any of our members are unhappy with our board.

But this isn't about the board, it's about personalities and I'm choosing not to get further involved.

We have had occasional flare-ups and a couple of them ended up confusing and hurtful as this one will if we all jump in.

You and I have had extensive personal conversations privately and I hope I have not offended you.

I care and I have my own opinions but I need to stay out of the flare simply because I need to stay out of the flare.

S... you didn't upset 'everybody'...

Kathleen misunderstood and Margaret expressed her hurt feelings that had nothing to do with Kathleen.

I thought what you said was funny but I know the joke of no expiration date on fannies. It's referred too so often I would think newbies would know too.

We know it was meant to be in fun because you just SAID SO and we 'old-timers' knew so when you wrote it.

This board would not be the quality it is without the 'old-timers'...yeah, even brother Bruce. Especially BB. He is a storehouse of information for us all.

I have to agree with you, Sher. I don't want to get involved, either, and I think the whole thing should be ended before it goes any further. However, Margaret, I think you comment about Bruce was totally uncalled for. He is one of the best parts of this group. He always has and always will help anyone. I am sad that you are so unhappy with the group. I would not have made it through this last year and half without everyone here and would not want to be anywhere else. I love you guys!! I think my grandson could check his stamp on his butt!! We were watching GUTS on Nickolodeon one day and they had this kid who put himself through a coat hanger. My grandson was 9 at the time. He is nearly 5 feet tall and weighs 64 pounds, skinny as a rail. He wanted to try it, so he got a coat hanger, started at his head, and fit his entire body through it!! I laughed so hard I cried!! We thought it was so funny!! Caro...hope this day brings a little sunshine with it for you.

Any update on your medical?

Have you had a chance to talk to Brent?

In my opinion, you're a good mom not to toss him aside. I knew if I had tossed my son aside when I found out he had AIDS I would alienate him completely. We're always moms first aren't we.

Hugs to you.

Yes, we are and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am really looking forward to him getting transferred to the state prison because it is a lot closer to my house and maybe I can go visit him more often. He is still my baby boy even though he is 22 and I worry to death about him.

As for me, I got a call this morning from my GYN office telling me I have an appointment on Monday morning. I thought they had canceled that one. Maybe she is waiting until then to tell me when she is sending me to the oncologist. I wish they would hurry up. Dr. deAndrade told me yesterday to give them a day or 2 to call me with the appointment, but I am just NOT A PATIENT PERSON!!! Thank you, Bruce. I try to be a loving mom and being one, I won't turn my back on him for a second. I am still hopeful they caught it earlier enough to get on medication and he will have years of a good life ahead. I of all people know how it feels when you are cursed with a terminal illness, as we all do here. You guys are totally the best!! Hugs to everyone!! CaroWhen it comes to those things i don't think any of us are patient. Idon't think most doctors really grasp how difficult the periods ofwaiting are.As to a son, I am not a parent and can't fully imagine what its like tostruggle and fear for your son. But, I do know you are a loving mom andall any parents can do is their best. There is no magic formula toparenting at any age. In a way it's freeing knowing I will die sooner than later. I live so much more intensely. I am grateful for each breath, and the smell of the air. I notice it little things now, and let the big problems slide. now.

PinkI fear pain.....it' s sort of simple. I don't like it and don't want it.As to fearing dying more than death or one stage more than another, Iread what Lou rights and imagine myself with , two catsinstead of a dog, morphine, as a companion in the evening. For me, thinking ahead, planning it out in my mind, thinking that eventhe worse isn't so awful, all helps me. I have seen many here furtheralong than I am and seen how they dealt with it and I have suchincredible mentors from them. But, the big thing is that I don't call it dying.....I think of beingdead as a single instantaneous moment, but every second until then I'malive. I'm closer to death each day, but everyone is. But, I'm living. And, so much of what I've learned here is how to live with the disease.I live differently today than I did yesterday and will live differentlytomorrow. But, its all life and

I'll make each day as good as I can.I'll have bad days, but then I'll just try to rally the next.I enjoy knowing people from all around the world too and each of youbring me a different perspective. So, I'm happy for you Phillie fanswhen they win and so happy when you guys had the Pennsylvania or generalarea get together.>>> From: lbsmith789@sbcgloba l.net>> Subject: Hi all - welcome Ray and other news> To: Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. com> Date: Tuesday, March 10, 2009, 10:02 PM>>>>> Welcome to the Air family Ray. I thought what you said was funny but I know the joke of no expiration date on fannies. It's referred too so often I would think newbies would know too.

WallyI somehow would have figured..... as for me, I'll stay far away in safetyhere. I don't play with snakes or guns. I don't even throw candy. I canonly imagine the talent competition for Miss Snake Charmer. As bad as Ithink this event sounds, I'm sure its much worse in person.....sorry, acity boy here.
