again for stomach acid)...along with biotin. I also take enzymes and

baths (which are magnesium sulfate) and magnesium sulfate cream (by Kirkman's,

carries this also. One of the liver pathways is sulfation, and things

that are processed through there need sulfate to do this, so if you are low,

Hi Jackie

yes small doses did not do the trick, Titelbaum recommends 2 mgs and

i was trying this amount and it did nothing

I think 10-12 mgs has really helped me. Now when I wake up I usually

and pretty dozey and just go back to sleep

I belive in some of the Andy Posts tht i have read he mentions that

he was takig 15-20 mgs at one point

> ----------So I assume less than 10mg didn't work for you? My

husband has this trouble, waking up during the night, and I had him

try melatonin, but I don't think he took enough. I'll encourage him

Jackie

I think tailored my new dpms does to approx what i was

on with dmsa which was 8 mgs every 3-4 hrs. MY dpms dosage that she

started me on was 15 mgs every 8 hours. I have been on this for 4

days along with the HC. I have a lot more energy and am not as

fatigued and feel more optimistic

I had found that continuous on dmsa was much better. I would go off

for more than a day and the leg/back and head and neck burning would

start. However indicated that since I already seem to have low

immune (thorugh white blood cells) that dmsa may also have been

making my immune problem worse. I caught this terrible head cold/flu

after about 4 weeks on dmsa that she said could have been due to the

immune wealness that dmsa can bring on

I got the impression from that continous dpms may be an option

( I could be misstaken tough). I am talking with her next week so

will update. I seemed to have some finesse problems with the dmsa (ie

if i tried to do more than 8 mgs or if i went too long off of a round

I would have head and other problems. So far no problmes with dpms

(But again only 4 days)

---------Yes, told me by email since I asked you this that I could go up

to 20mg of melatonin. My problem hasn't been waking up, but my clock is messed

up, feeling wide awake at night and staying up late, and then sleeping in late.

So I think my adrenals are messed up again/more since my surgery, so I am trying

to take more ACE during the day, and use melatonin at night, to try to

straighten this out. Although I've always been a night owl and kind of enjoy

it! Anyway, like I said, my husband has the wake up during the night problem,

so I'll have to see if I can get him to try more melatonin, but he doesn't like

taking anything.---------Jackie

-----------That sounds great. I was just curious on what doses you tolerated.

I was a little different. I was on 25mg of DMSA when I went to see her, and she

had me try 20mg of DMPS every 8 hours, and that seemed like too much for me. I

then went to 15mg of DMPS every 6 hours, and that was better, but I probably

actually felt a little better on DMSA. I am a fast metabolizer, so the 6 hours

was probably better. Also, I have arsenic, which DMPS pulls but not DMSA, so I

may have been feeling the DMPS working on that more. Your feelings of more

energy, less fatigue, and more optimistic, I probably had more of that on DMSA,

especially in the beginning. Interesting how everyone is

different.--------Jackie

---------Yes, I used to get sick quite often too. I take alot of immune

boosting things now, so hopefully that is helping.---------Jackie

I got the impression from that continous dpms may be an option

------------I believe she considers it for some. Might partly depend on how

much experience you have with chelation too. But if you do much better when on

rounds, she might consider it for you. I'm sure you both have to see how you do

on the DMPS before making that decision though.---------Jackie

----------------Some people do better with DMPS than DMSA, so I think it's a

good sign that you are tolerating it so well, and at a higher dose than the DMSA

you were taking. I'm sure the HC is helping also.---------Jackie

but thought it tasted terrible! What do you mix it in?---------Jackie

jackie, you busted me...I cannot handle the epsom salts. It makes me

gag. I told this but she said an 1/8-1/4 teaspoon should be fine,

but I haven't been able to bring myself to try this again :)

--------That's too funny! And here I thought you were a real man! (Joke,

haha, don't take that wrong, I can't stand the stuff either!) I can't believe

some of the stuff they expect us to take. I tried liquid GSE (grapefruit seed

extract) in water today for the first time. I put in one drop and couldn't

taste it, so then I added another, still didn't. So I put in the 5 drops they

recommend (5 to 15), and then noticed it was sitting at the bottom of the glass,

so I swirled it around good, and then YUCK! This is supposed to be good for

yeast, that's why I'm trying it. The funny thing is, I tolerate oil of oregano

(super strength) under the tongue with no problem, and others say that they

can't stand it. So who knows. Let me know if you do ever get the epsom salts

down. If you are just looking for magnesium to dissolve and drink instead of

capsules, their is a product called " Natural Calm " that is pure magnesium

citrate, so you could try that. There may be other similar products too, but

that is one I know of. You dissolve it in hot water and it tastes kind of

lemony, not bad at all. But it wouldn't give you the sulfate.---------Jackie
